Update: Whew! That old gallery app I was running was a real mess! Apart from the fact that it just looked plain terrible, and I couldn't change it (much), it also was quite insistent on regenerating the thumbnails for every single image every time the page was viewed - even on a fast net connection (or locally for that matter) it would take ages to load, and the server would churn itself to death anytime someone viewed my gallery.Anyway, I've now taken care of it (murdered it) and stealthily written my own speedy-katt gallery. Enjoy!
